Spring in January

Da lacht das Herz einer österreichischen Modebloggerin!
Zweistellige Plusgrade im Dezember und Jänner. Einerseits finde ich das schade, weil ich Schnee und die Winterzeit wirklich gerne mag. Andererseits ist das ganz wunderbar, da ich problemlos ohne Winterjacke meine Outdoor-Shootings absolvieren kann. Während ich vor exakt einem Jahr dickt eingemummt bei unseren Shootings gebibbert habe, friere ich zur Zeit auch im Pullover oder mit einer Bluse nicht. Bin gespannt, ob in Wien der Winter doch noch Einzug hält - und vor allem wann. Wahrscheinlich zu Ostern. Wie auch immer. Auf einige meiner Winterlieblinge mag ich aber trotz fehlender Kälte nicht verzichten - zum Beispiel (fake) fur. Ich liebe Westen, Taschen, Mäntel oder Jacken aus dem flauschigen Material. Daher widme ich diese Woche (fake) fur und zeige Euch wie immer drei unterschiedliche Looks. - Wie steht ihr eigentlich zu Pelz bzw. fake fur? Ich trage beides. Und was ist Eure Meinung zu meinem heutigen OOTD?

Double digit plus degrees in December and January. On the one hand that's a pity, cause I really like snow and winter. On the other hand that's absolutely wonderful, cause I can do your outdoor shootings easily without a winter jacket. Last winter I was trembling from the cold despite I was wrapped up warmly. And this winter I'm not freezing wearing only a sweater or blouse. I'm really wondering if winter arrives in Vienna - and especially when. Probably at Easter. However. Despite of missing snow I don't want to do without some of my winter favorites - for instance (fake) fur. I'm in love with vests, bags, coats or jackets made of this fluffy material. Therefore I'm dedicating this week to (fake) fur and will show you as usual three different looks. - What do you think about (fake) fur? I'm wearing both. And what do you think about my OOTD?

Oldie but goldie

Alles auf schwarz.
Nein, ich bin weder depressiv noch ist mir die Lust auf Farbe & Muster vergangen. Aber manchmal muss es einfach schwarz sein. Mit einem kleinen Schuss Exzentrik. Bei meinem heutigen Look in Form von viel Leder, Overknee-Stiefeln und fake fur. Und warum habe ich meinem Post den Titel "oldie but goldie" gegeben? Weil sämtliche Kleidungsstücke sowie die Stiefel relativ alt sind - zwischen 1 und 4 Jahren. Auch das muss manchmal sein. Ein Outfit, komplett bestehend aus (alten) Lieblingen. - Was sind denn Eure "all time favorites"? Was hängt bei Euch seit Jahren im Kleiderschrank? Und was sagt ihr zu meinem heutigen Look?

Bet on black.
No, I'm neither depressed nor did I lost my love faible for colors & patterns. But sometimes I simply has to be black. With an eccentric touch. In the form of lots of leather, over-knee boots and fake fur. And why did I named my post "oldie but goldie"? Cause all clothes and also the boots are quite old - between 1 and 4 years. Sometimes that's necessary. An outfit completely consisting of (old) favorites. - What are your all time favorites? Which clothes do you have in use for many years? And what do you think about my today's look?

Lazy chic

Jogging pants, sweat pants, Haremshosen.
Weit, bequem, lässig & stylish. Meine große Liebe für diese coolen Hosen hält seit ungefähr einem Jahr und ich habe auch nicht vor, Schluss zu machen. Daher hoffe ich, dass ihr diese Liebe auch weiterhin mit mir teilt und ich Euch mit immer neuen Stylings damit überraschen kann :-) ... Um Euch zu zeigen, dass diese Hosen nicht nur für die Couch geeignet sind, sondern auch elegant sein können, habe ich letztes Wochenende einen ganz schlichten Look gewählt: Weißer Blazer, dünner grauer Pullover, Pumps und eine fake fur clutch, die im Rahmen meiner "fur collection" natürlich nicht fehlen darf. Ihr wisst ja, dass ich gerne (fake) fur trage - aber mir ist nicht immer nach einem Komplett-Kuschel-Look mit Weste oder Mantel. An solchen Tagen greife ich gerne auf meine Pelz-Clutch zurück. - Wie steht ihr zu Jogging Pants? Und was sagt ihr zu meinem heutigen OOTD?

Jogging pants, sweat pants, harem pants.
Flared, comfy, casual & stylish. I'm totally into love with these cool pants for a year and I'm not planning to put an end to that. Therefore I hope that you'll continue this love with me and that I can surprise you with new "jogging looks" again and again :-) ... To show you that these pants are no only adequate for lazy days on the couch but also for chicer occasions, I've chosen a simple look last weekend: White blazer, thin grey sweater, pumps and my fake fur clutch - which shouldn't be missing in my this week's "fur collection". You already know that I like to wear (fake) fur - but I'm not always in the mood for complete fluffy-looks with fur vests or coats. On days like these I prefer to take my fake fur clutch. - What do you thin about jogging pants? And what about my OOTD?

Fashion Trends Spring/Summer 2014

Modetrends 2014: Was gibt's Neues? Was bleibt? Was geht?
Diese Woche dreht sich auf meinem Blog alles um die fashion trends für Frühling/Sommer 2014: Welche Farben sind laut internationalen Designern angesagt? Welche Formen und Materialien? Inklusive meinem Senf zu den einzelnen Trends :-) ... 

Farben
  • zarte Pastellfarben - alle Jahre gibt's Sorbetfarben wie pastellgelb, rosé, babyblau & pistaziengrün
  • kräftiges Gelb - auf sonnengelb freue ich mich besonders und werde diese Farbe hauptsächlich mit weiß & silber kombinieren ...
  • schwarz & weiß - der Klassiker darf auch 2014 in Form von monochrom, gepunktet über kariert bis gestreift nicht fehlen
  • Metallic-Schuhe - silberne Pumps haben das Potential, meine Lieblinge (die weißen heels) abzulösen!!!
  • Naturdrucke - mit Blumen, Animal- & Tropenmustern werde ich Euch sowohl allover als auch wohl dosiert beglücken
  • geometrische Muster - meine Liebe für Muster & Pop Art Fashion kennt ihr und daher wird sie mich auch 2014 begleiten
  • Radiant Orchid - laut Pantone ist das die neue Trendfarbe 2014, von tangerine red (Trendfarbe 2012) war ich ehrlich gesagt mehr angetan
Formen
  • 80er - bei Schulterpolstern & Co bin ich dabei, bei "mommy jeans" mit hohem Hosenbund steige ich aus
  • knie- und wadenlange Röcke - ich liebe knieumspielende Pencil skirts und auch midi skirts, allerdings betonen letztere etwas unvorteilhaft meine dicken Waden ...
  • Sport & Pyjama Look - yippiiieee, weite Hosen & Pyjama Pants sind auch 2014 noch da und drei mal dürft ihr raten, ob ich den Trend mitmache :-) ...
  • Shorts & knielange Hosen (keine Hot pants) - als Mittdreißigerin kommt mit dieser Trend sehr gelegen, denn Eleganz geht bei mir ohnehin vor zu viel Haut
  • Blousons - oh ja, immer her mit dieser tollen Abwechslung zu Blazern
  • statement Sweater - schon 2013 wieder entdeckt werde ich sie auch 2014 weiter lieben & tragen
  • lange Westen - coole Allrounder, die ich sowohl mit Röcken als auch Hosen kombinieren werde
  • Overalls - auf meine Jumpsuits freue ich mich wieder sehr
  • bauchfrei - wenn ich meinen Winterspeck weg habe, gerne cropped tops - bis dahin trage ich cropped tops bzw. Pullis über Blusen
  • kragenlose Blusen & Mäntel - ich liebe diese zeitlosen Klassiker
Materialien
  • Transparenz - schwierig, kann aber funktionieren
  • Leder - in hellen Farben als Kleid, Jacke, Kostüm oder Shorts

Wie man sieht, sind bahnbrechende und total neue Trends nicht dabei. Vielmehr sind es Fortsetzungen oder Neuinterpretationen von Bestehendem und Altbewährtem. Was mich aber nicht stört. So kann ich aus einem vollen Kleiderschrank schöpfen und nehme das vielleicht als Anlass, mein Shopping-Verhalten etwas einzuschränken ...

Diese Trendvorschau wird auch gleichzeitig meine collection diese Woche: In meiner "S/S preview collection" zeige ich Euch drei Looks in Farben, Materialien oder Formen, die ihr die nächsten Monate auf meinem Blog noch öfters & ausführlicher sehen werdet! Den Beginn mache ich mit dem Frühlings-Klassiker pastellrosé/nude. - Was sagt ihr zu meinem OOTD? Und auf welchen Trend im Frühling/Sommer 2014 freut ihr Euch besonders? Und was werdet ihr auslassen?


Fashion trends 2014: What's new? What will remain? What's out?
This week on my blog is all about fashion trends spring/summer 2014: Which colors are up to date according to international designers? Which forms and materials? And of course I will add my two cents worth to it :-) ...


Colors
  • soft pastel colors - every year sorbet colors like pastel yellow, rosé, baby blue and pistachio green are coming back
  • bright yellow - I'm especially looking forward to sunny yellow and will combine it with white & silver
  • black & white - this classy color combo must not be missed in 2014 in the form of monochrome, dotted, plaid and striped
  • metallic shoes - silver pumps have the potential to get my new favorites - instead of my beloved white heels!!!
  • nature prints - with (tropical) flowers & animals allover or well dosed
  • geometric patterns - you already know my love for patterns & pop art fashion and therefore it will accompany me also in 2014
  • radiant orchid - that's the new trend color for this year according to Pantone. But honestly spoken I've been more convinced by tangerine red (trend color 2012)
Forms
  • 80ies - I will wear shoulder straps, but definitely not high waisted "mommy jeans"
  • knee-length and midi skirts - I really love both pencil and midi skirts, but the latter are not quite advantageous for my calves ...
  • sporty & pj's look - yeah, wide trousers and pyjama pants are still here and guess who will there them in 2014, too :-) ...
  • shorts & knee-length pants (not hot pants) - as a woman in mid-thirties this trend is very convenient for me 
  • blousons - welcome change from blazers
  • statement sweaters - I've rediscovered theme already in 2013 and will love & wear them again this year
  • overalls - really looking forward to wear my jumpsuits again
  • cropped - I'll wear cropped tops again when I've lost my holiday pounds. Until them I'll wear them over blouses ...
  • collarless blouses & coats - love this timeless classic
Materials
  • transparency - difficult, but it can work
  • leather - in light colors for dresses, jackets, costumes and shorts


As you can see you can't find some groundbreaking and absolutely new trends in S/S 2014. But rather continuations from and reinterpretations of existing and proven things. But that does not bother me, however. So I can take advantage from an existing well equipped closet and maybe I take this opportunity to restrict my shopping trips ...

I take this trend preview as an occasion to dedicate this week to my "S/S preview collection". This week I'll show you three looks in colors, forms and materials which you'll see in the next months more often and detailed. To start off is a classy spring look in nude. - What do you think about my OOTD? And are you looking forward to one of these trends? And will you skip one of it?

Yellow plaids

Schwarz-weiß, gelb & silber.
Diese Farben werde ich im Frühling/Sommer 2014 sicher sehr oft tragen. Am liebsten in Kombination und im coolen Pop Art Stil. Daher weiß ich jetzt schon, dass dieser 2. Look meiner "SS preview collection" einer meiner Favoriten des Jahres 2014 wird :-) ... Ich liebe es einfach, mit Materialien, Mustern & Farben zu spielen und Looks zu kreieren, mit denen ich meine Individualität ausdrücken kann. Völlig unabhängig von bestimmten Marken. Mir ist bewusst, dass ich einen sehr eigenen & extrovertierten Stil habe, der nicht jedermann's Geschmack ist. Was mir völlig egal ist. Denn mir macht das Experimentieren mit Mode unglaublich viel Spaß und freue mich jede Woche, mir neue "collections" zu überlegen. - Seid ihr modisch eher experimentierfreudig oder konservativer? Stören Euch Blicke von offensichtlich irritierten Passanten oder ist es Euch egal, wie ihr mit Euren Outfits ankommt?

Black & white, yellow & silver.
I'll definitely wear these colors in spring/summer 2014 quite often. Preferably in combination and in cool pop art style. Therefore I already know, that this second look of my this week's "SS preview collection" will become one of my favorites of 2014 :-) ... I just love it to play with materials, patterns and colors and create looks, with which I can express my individuality. Completely independent from special brands. I am aware that my style is quite peculiar and extroverted, which is not everyone's taste. But I really don't care about that. Cause it makes such a lot of fun to experiment with fashion and I'm looking forward to create every week another "collection". - Are you quite innovative or conservative concerning fashion? Do sceptical glances of passengers bother you? Or don't you care about other people's opinion concerning your look?

Vernally leather

Leder im Frühling und Sommer.
Dass ich im Winter gerne Leder trage, ist für Euch wahrscheinlich keine Überraschung. Im Frühling und Sommer schaut's da schon anders aus. Da greife ich eher zu anderen Materialen und Farben. Da es aber immer mehr geniale Ledersachen (echt oder fake) in bunten & pastelligen Farben gibt, werde ich heuer auch im Frühling/Sommer vermehrt zu Leder greifen. Weniger bei Hosen, dafür aber bei Röcken, Jacken und natürlich Schuhen & Taschen. Die ersten pastellfarbenen Ledersachen haben in meinem Schrank bereits Einzug gehalten und ich freue mich schon darauf, sie auszuführen. - Wie geht es Euch mit Leder in bunten bzw. Pastell-Farben? Und was sagt ihr zum 3. Look meiner "S/S preview collection"?

Leather in spring and summer.
I think it's no surprise for you that I like to wear leather in winter. In spring/summer it looks a bit different - until yet. I prefer to wear other materials and colors at this season. But there are more and more amazing leather clothes (real or fake) in bright and pastel colors in the shops and so I'll wear leather more often also in spring/summer. Preferably skirts, jackets and of course shoes and bags. Some pastel colored leather stuff has already found it's way into my closet and I'm really looking forward to carry out it. - What do you think about leather in bright or pastel colors? And what about the 3rd look of my "S/S preview collection"?

Pimped brit chic

Brit chic meets street style.
Ich trage gerne klassische Kleidungsstücke wie Blazer und zeitlose Farben wie beige- & nude-Töne. Aber mindestens genau so gerne Trendstücke mit kürzerem Haltbarkeitsdatum. In meinem heutigen Outfit habe ich beides vereint: Meinen immer wieder gerne getragenen Blazer-Klassiker mit einem knallgelben Schlauchkleid (das eigentlich ein Rock ist). Mit diesem Look eröffne ich gleichzeitig meine "yellow collection" diese Woche. Gelb ist ja eine Farbe, die sehr kontrovers ist und entweder geliebt oder überhaupt nicht getragen wird. Ich gehöre zu der ersten Gruppe und freue mich daher, dass gelb in diesem Frühling/Sommer ein großes Thema sein wird. Seid also vorgewarnt - gelb wird Euch die nächsten Wochen & Monate noch öfters auf meinem Blog begegnen. Und nicht nur diese Woche :-) ...

Brit chic meets street style.
I love to wear classy clothes like blazer and timeless colors in shades of beige and nude. But I'm also in love with trendy things with a quite short expiry date. In my outfit of the day I've combined both: My again and again worn classy blazer with a bright yellow tube dress (it's a skirt in reality). And with this look I want to open my this week's "yellow collection". I know, that yellow is a quite controversial color - either you love it or you would never wear it. I'm belonging to the first group and therefore I'm so happy that yellow is getting an important topic for S/S 2014. So be aware that you'll see this color again and again in the next weeks and months. And not only this week :-) ...

Gelb: Mein Allrounder für 2014.
Vorgestern noch klassischer Brit-Chic, heute bereits cooler Street-Style :-) ... Ja, so vielfältig ist für mich die Farbe gelb. Sie kann super elegant und klassisch mit Braun- & Beige-Tönen daher kommen, aber auch sehr stylish mit schwarz & weiß oder sogar im color blocking mit blau. Wie kombiniert ihr gelb? Was kommt für Euch gar nicht in Frage? Und seid ihr lieber klassisch oder eher street style unterwegs?

The day before yesterday classy brit chic, today already cool street style :-) ... Yes, the color yellow is extremely multifaceted for me. It can be very elegant and classy with shades of brown and beige, but also super stylish with black & white or event color blocked with blue. How do you combine yellow? What's a no go for you? And do you prefer classy or street style outfits?

Calm before the storm

Der Winter bedroht einen österreichischen Modeblog.
Gestern 14.00 Uhr: Der Blick aus dem Fenster besagt nichts Gutes. Starker Nebel zieht auf, es beginnt zu nieseln. Eine leichte Unruhe überkommt mich, nachdem der Wetterbericht meinen Blick bekräftigt und sogar noch Schlimmeres vorhersagt. Meine Pläne für den Nachmittag (zuerst Fotoshooting für mein heutiges Outfit, danach Shopping, wozu mich die gestrige Präsentation des "Vienna Shopping Guide 2014" leider verleitet hat) scheinen durchkreuzt zu werden. Fotos im Nebel? Shopping im Schneeregen? Beides nicht wirklich nach meinem Geschmack. 14.30 Uhr: Mein geliebter Haus- & Hoffotograf bringt Makronen zum vereinbarten Shooting-Treffpunkt als Trostpflaster mit. (Er weiß, wie sehr ich Shootings bei solchem Wetter hasse.) 14.45 Uhr: Ich bin trotz 6 Stück Makronen frustriert, da ich trotz intensivster optischer Anstrengung und trotz meines sonnengelben Rollis kein Strahlen am Himmel und auf den Fotos sehe. 14.50 Uhr: Aufgrund dessen und aufgrund des Wetterberichts für das Wochenende (Schnee, -5 Grad) habe ich keine Lust mehr auf meine für heute geplanten Shootings. 14.55 Uhr: Tja - was dann passiert ist und ob es nächste Woche doch Fotos auf meinem Blog geben wird, erfahrt ihr in Kürze :-) … 

Winter is threatening an Austrian fashion blog.
Yesterday, 2 pm: Looking out of my window does not bode well. Fog begins to appear, it starts to drizzle. Restlessness overcomes me, listening to the weather forecast. My plans for this afternoon (first shooting and then shopping - unfortunately yesterday's presentation of "Vienna Shopping Guide 2014" have led me to do that) seem to dissolve into thin air. Shooting in the fog? Shopping in the drizzle? Both not to my taste. 2.30 pm: My beloved master photographer is bringing some macaroons to our agreed meeting place. (He knows how much I hate shootings during such weather.) 2.45 pm: Despite 6 macaroons I'm frustrated, cause I don't see a bright sky even though I really try my optically best and even though I'm wearing my bright yellow turtle neck. 2.50 pm: As a result of that and due to the weather forecast for the weekend (snow, -5 degrees) I have no more desire to do some shootings today. 2.55: Well - find out more on my blog shortly, what happens next and whether you can see some pics on my blog next Monday :-) …

Sporty chic

Kein Ende meines Modeblogs.
Auch wenn ich in meinem letzten Post ein wenig frustriert geklungen habe: Widrige Wetterumstände können mir und meinem geliebten Fashion Blog natürlich nichts anhaben :-) ... Es gibt also auch diese Woche (und viele, viele weitere) neue Looks und "collections" für Euch! Wie ihr wisst, bin ich bereits voll im "F/S Fashiontrend-Fieber" und daher widme ich diese Woche ganz dem Thema "casual & sporty". Nein, ich zeige Euch keine Fortsetzung meiner sportlichen Aktivitäten. Sportlich bzw. casual wird's lediglich modisch gesehen. Zahlreiche Designer wie DKNY setzen im F/S 2014 auf "sport chic" bzw. den Look der 90er - von Jogginghosen über Sneakers bis zu Sweaters & Cardigans. Den Beginn meiner "collection" macht einer meiner aktuellen Lieblings-casual-Looks. Da mir ein sportlicher Look von Kopf bis Fuß zu viel ist, kombiniere ich meinen Sweater & Cardigan mit meinen neuen Heels von Deichmann und meiner neuen, taubenblauen Tasche von Coccinelle, die ich im Sale bei Steffl gefunden habe. Beides werdet ihr übrigens noch öfters auf meinem Blog sehen :-) ... - Was sagt ihr zu meinem heutigen Look?

No end of my fashion blog.
Even if I was a bit frustrated in my last post: Adverse weather conditions can't do anything to me and my beloved fashion blog :-) ... So I still have further looks and "collections" for you this and many other weeks! As you guys already know "S/S fashion trend fever" already caught me and therefore I'm dedicating this week to "casual & sporty". No, that's not a continuation of my sports activities. It solely will be sporty and casual concerning fashion matters. Numerous designers like DKNY are focussing on "sporty chic" and the nineties in their S/S collections for 2014 - from joggers to sneakers ob to sweaters and cardigans. Typisches Shopping-Verhalten?
Wie, wann & wo geht ihr shoppen? Ich rede nicht von Lebensmitteln bzw. Produkten für den täglichen Bedarf. Sondern von Mode. Ich bin eine relativ atypische Modebloggerin, da ich hauptsächlich "old school & offline" shoppen gehe. Ich bevorzuge klar das Bummeln durch die Einkaufsstraßen und lasse mich von Schaufenstern, kleinen Boutiquen und den Menschen auf der Straße inspirieren. Mir ist es wichtig, Farben "live" zu sehen, Materialen anzugreifen und die Sachen anzuprobieren. Denn Farben und Kleidungsstücke auf (photogeshoppten) Bildern entsprechen oftmals nicht der Realität. Ich bin auch kein Fashion Victim, das völlig ziellos durch die Straßen irrt und wahllos Dinge zusammen kauft. Mein Blog und meine "collections" helfen mir, meinen Kleiderschrank immer klar vor Augen zu haben. Beim Planen meiner nächsten "collections" weiß ich daher immer ganz genau, welche Teile aus meiner Garderobe ich dafür verwenden kann und ob mir etwas fehlt. Für mein heutiges sportliches Outfit wollte ich als Stilbruch unbedingt silberfarbene Heels. Und drei mal dürft ihr raten, wo ich sie gefunden habe. Nein, nicht in der Boutique ums Eck, sondern bei unser aller Liebling Zalando! Warum? Ich hatte weder die Zeit, noch die Muße, durch sämtliche Schuhgeschäfte in Wien zu laufen, um solche Heels zu suchen. Da ist es wesentlich bequemer & zielführender, die Suchfunktion des Onlineshops meines Vertrauens zu verwenden. Nach fünf Minuten auf Zalando hatte ich nicht nur die perfekten Heels, sondern auch diese Sonnenbrille und einen Blazer (den ihr demnächst seht) im Warenkorb :-) ... Und die Moral von der Geschicht? Online-Shopping ist doch was Feines. Vor allem dann, wenn man ganz genau weiß, was man sucht ...

Typically shopping behavior?
How, when & where do you go shopping? I'm not talking about food or everyday products. I'm talking about fashion. I'm a quite atypical fashion blogger, cause I prefer to go shopping "old school & offline". I prefer window shopping, strolling through the shopping streets and be inspired by shop windows, small boutiques and people passing by. It's important for me to see colors "live", feel the fabrics and try clothes on. Cause (edited) pics often does not reflect reality, especially concerning colors and cuts. And I'm not a fashion victim, wandering aimlessly through the streets shopping unnecessary things. My blog and my "collections" really help me to keep my closet always clear in my mind. Planning my "collections" I strictly know, which pieces of my wardrobe I can use and if I may need something new. For me today's sporty look I wanted a break in style by wearing silver heels. Have a guess where I've found them. No, not in a shop around the corner, but at our favorite Zalando! Why? I didn't had time and leisure to stroll through all Viennese shoe shops. It was much more comfortable & efficient to use search function at the online shop of my trust. Within five minutes I've found these perfect heels, these sunglasses and a blazer (will show it next week) :-) ... The moral of the story? Online shopping is a good thing. Especially knowing exactly what you're seaching for ...

Fabuleuse Shopping Guide Austria

Wo geht man in Wien einkaufen?
Nach meinem letzten Post habe ich einige mails bekommen und wurde gefragt, ob ich Shopping-Tipps für Wien habe und wo ich hauptsächlich einkaufen gehe. Ich bin am liebsten im 7. Bezirk auf der Mariahilfer Straße inkl. der Seitengassen wie Neubaugasse oder Siebensterngasse unterwegs. Dort findet man außer den üblichen Verdächtigen tolle kleine Boutiquen und Vintage-Läden. Einen Shopping-Bummel lasse ich besonders gerne am Naschmarkt in einem der vielen internationalen Restaurants (zB Tewa) ausklingen. Im 1. Bezirk bin ich primär auf der Kärntner Straße, Wollzeile, Graben und Brandstätte unterwegs. Tipp für meine Leser: Im letzte Woche neu vorgestellten "Shopping Guide 2014" von Trend-Expertin Irmie Schüch-Schamburek werden auf knapp 400 Seiten Fashion-,  Accessoires- & Schmuck-Stores sowie Spa-Hotels in Österreich vorgestellt. Fokus ist aber ganz klar Wien. Die dazugehörende gratis-App ist praktisch, allerdings fehlen mir einige features wie eine Karte oder mehr Filterfunktionen. Im gedruckten Shopping-Guide gibt's Kategorien wie "Casual", "Klassik" oder "Avantgarde", was die Suche nach einem bestimmten Shop oder Produkt erleichtert. Apropos casual: Was sagt ihr zum 3. und letzten Look meiner dieswöchigen "sport collection"?

Where to shop in Vienna?
After my last post I've received a few mails asking me for some shopping tips in Vienna. Preferably I go shopping in the 7th district at Mariahilfer Straße & side streets like Neubaugasse or Siebensterngasse. You can find there both the "usual suspects" and lots of small boutiques and vintage stores. I love to let end such shopping strolls in one of the lovely international restaurant at Naschmarkt - for example Tewa. In the 1st district I especially like Kärntner Straße, Wollzeile, Graben and Brandstätte. My personal hint for you: Last week trend expert Irmie Schüch-Schamburek presented her new "Shopping Guide 2014". On almost 400 pages Austrian fashion & accesscories stores as well as jewellery shops and spa hotels are introduced. Focus is clearly set on Vienna. The corresponding free app is useful, but I miss some features like a map or more filter functions. In the printed version you can find several categories like "casual", "classy" or "avantgarde". Schwarz-weiß und ich: Eine neverending story.
Ich weiß, das Farbduo schwarz-weiß und Streifen gab es schon öfters auf meinem Blog. Aber ich kann einfach nicht anders. Ich liebe dieses Powerduo. Daher besitze ich inzwischen eine ordentliche Streifen-Sammlung: Von blau-gelben Pullis, über grün-schwarzen Röcken bis hin zu schwarz-weißen Taschen. Ihr könnt Euch also denken - wenn ich beim Shoppen auf neue Streifen stoße, komme ich selten daran vorbei. So auch bei meinem letzten Zalando-Streifzug: Den sportlich-eleganten Blazer von Minimum musste ich einfach nehmen. Der lockere Schnitt, das leicht stretchige Material und der Preis (im Sale für EUR 39,95) haben mich absolut überzeugt. Bis jetzt habe ich den Blazer auch schon mit meiner schwarzen Röhren-Lederhose und einem Bleistiftrock getragen - diese Varianten werdet ihr sicher noch auf meinem Blog sehen :-) ... Aber zuerst einmal eröffne ich mit diesem Look meine dieswöchige "black&white collection" und hoffe, ihr teilt meine Leidenschaft für schwarz-weiß! Diejenigen, die Streifen nicht mögen, kann ich "beruhigen": Die zwei anderen Looks dieser collection sind nicht gestreift :-) ...

Black-white and me: A never ending story.
I know that you've already seen color combo black-white and stripes more than once on my blog. But I simply have no choice. Cause I'm really in love with this power duo. Therefore I'm the proud owner of a quite big stripe-collection: From blue-yellow sweaters, green-black skirts up to black-white bags. So you can imagine that I hardly resist any new stripes when I go shopping. This is what happened at my last Zalando stroll: I simply had to buy this chic & sporty from Minimum. The loose cut, stretch material and price (sale: EUR 39,95) totally convinced me. Until yet I've worn the blazer also with my black leather pants and a pencil skirt - you will see this variants certainly on my blog someday :-) ... But first I'm opening my this weeks "black&white collection" with this look und hope, that you'll share may passion for black-white! And those guys of you who don't like stripes don't worry. The two other looks of this collection have nothing to do with stripes :-) ...

Damen-Smoking - mein cooler Evergreen.
Obwohl ich, wie ihr wisst, sehr gerne und häufig Farben trage, liebe ich schwarz-weiß. Immer wieder. Und in den unterschiedlichsten Varianten. Von Karos, über Punkte, Streifen bis hin zu Muster- & Materialmix. Aber auch klassische Looks mit Bleistiftrock und Blazer mag ich in diesem Farbduo wahnsinnig gerne. Oder als moderne Interpretation eines Damen-Smokings. Für mich der perfekte Winter-Look für ein schickes Abendessen mit meinem Schatz. Erinnert ihr Euch übrigens noch an meine "Sommer-Variante" eines Smokings? Auf diese sommerliche Variante in weiß-tangerine red und vor allem das dazugehörende Wetter freue ich mich jetzt bereits :-) ... - Wie trägt ihr am liebsten schwarz-weiß? Tuxedo for ladies - my cool evergreen.
Even though I'm totally in love with wearing bright colors, I also love black&white. Again and again. In different versions. From plaids, über dots, stripes up to mixed patterns & materials. But I also like classy looks with pencil skirts and blazer in this powerful color combo. Or modern interpretations of tuxedos. My perfect look for a fancy dinner with my darling. By the way: Do you remember my "summer variant" of a tuxedo? Geht Bordeaux auch im Frühling?
Wenn ich Carrie Bradshaw bzw. Mr. Big zitieren darf: "Verdammte Scheiße, aber ja!" Warum denn nicht? Prinzipiell bin ich zwar jemand, der gerne die für die jeweilige Jahreszeit typischen Farben trägt: Pastell im Frühling, Weiß im Sommer, Braun im Herbst. Aber warum nicht mal die typische Herbstfarbe Bordeaux im Frühling tragen? Vor allem, wenn sie sich so gut mit meiner schwarz-weißen Bluse und meinem grauen Fake-Fur Mantel macht ... Mit diesem 3. Look meiner "black&white collection" wünsche ich Euch ein tolles & erholsames Wochenende!

PS.: Liebe Mama, ich bin eine brave Tochter und trage Handschuhe, damit ich keine roten Hände mehr habe und Du nicht mehr denken musst, dass ich Durchblutungsstörungen habe oder Erfrierungen erleide :-) ...

Does bordeaux also work in spring?
If I may quote Carrie Bradshaw or rather Mr. Mig: "Abso-fucking-lutely!" Why not? Generally I like to wear typical colors for each season: Pastel in spring, white in summer, brown in fall. But why not wearing typically fall color purple in spring? Particularly if it fits so perfect to my black-white blouse and my grey fake fur coat ... Color crush

Electric blue
Nachdem meine letzten Looks farblich eher zurückhaltend waren, wird's diese Woche umso bunter. Vor allem blau. Von knalligem electric blue bis zu pastelligem powder blue. Blau ist für mich eine unglaublich vielseitige Farbe, die ich gerne von sportlich bis elegant style. Monochrom, im Color blocking oder mit Nichtfarben wie weiß oder schwarz kombiniert. Daher widme ich diese Woche meiner "blue collection" und beginne mit einem richtigen "color crush". Für mich ein Look, der einerseits sehr "laut" und auffällig ist, andererseits aber auch elegant. - Was sagt ihr zu meinem heutigen OOTD? Und was zu meinen neuen Glitzer-Heels?

Electric blue
Cause my last looks have been quite ceased concerning colors, I am ready to rumble again. It's getting colorful this week. Especially blue. From bright electric blue up to pastel powder blue. Blue is such an incredibly versatile color, which I love to style from sporty up to elegant. Monochrome, color blocked or combined with non-colors like white or black. Potential zum Klassiker.
Ihr erinnert Euch sicher noch an DAS It-Teil 2013: Der Skort von Zara. Fast jeder Modeblogger (außer mir) hat ihn getragen, auf der Straße war er (gefühlt) an jeder 10. Frau zu sehen. Und nicht nur in Österreich. Der Zara-Skort setzte einen Trend und zahlreiche andere Labels brachten ebenfalls Origami-Röcke auf den Markt. Auch für 2014 hat Zara einiges in der Kollektion, was Kult- oder zumindest "unbedingt-haben-müssen"-Potential hat. Dazu gehört für mich ganz klar die hellblaue Biker-Lederjacke aus der neuen Kollektion. Obwohl ich alles andere als die Einzige mit dieser Jacke sein werde (sie ist mir bereits gefühlte hundert Mal auf zahlreichen Blogs begegnet), liebe ich sie heiß. Zumal sie auch perfekt zu meiner neuen Coccinelle-Tasche passt <3 ... - Was sagt ihr zu der Jacke? Und habt ihr einen anderen "Verdächtigen" aus der Zara-Familie, der Kult-Potential hat? Do you remember the key-piece of 2013? Zara's Skort. Almost every fashion blogger (apart from me) and literally every tenth woman on the streets have been wearing it. Not only in Austria. Zara's skort has set a trend and numerous other labels brought similar origami skirts on the market. Also in 2014 there are several pieces in Zara's collection with the potential of becoming a cult. For example the powder blue biker jacket of the new collection. Although I will definitely not be the only one wearing this jacket (have seen it literally hundred times in the last two weeks), I am already addicted to it. Particularly because it fits perfect to my new Coccinelle bag <3 ... - What do you think about the jacket? And do you have some other suspect items of the Zara collection becoming a trend piece 2014?

Österreichischer Modeblog in der Liebeskrise?
Nein, nein. Keine Sorge. Ich bin auch nach 12 Jahren immer noch verliebt in meinen "Sergeant Sunshine". Und prinzipiell bin ich auch romantisch, werde gerne beschenkt und vor allem mag' ich leckeres Essen und guten Wein. Eigentlich die besten Voraussetzungen für den Valentinstag. Ich kann aber mit diesem kommerzialisierten "Tag der Liebenden" nicht wirklich viel anfangen. Auf Kommando und an einem speziellen Tag Blumen oder Geschenke zu kaufen und besonders verliebt in die Augen schauend Essen zu gehen ist nicht so ganz meine Vorstellung von ungezwungener und wahrhaftiger Liebe. Daher zeige ich Euch heute keine Herzchen und viel Tolles aus/mit Rosa, Rot und Pink. Dazu müsst ihr andere tolle Blogs besuchen. Stattdessen zeige ich Euch viel lieber den dritten und letzten Look meiner "blue collection". - Was ist denn Eure Meinung zum Valentinstag? Und was zu meinem heutigen Outfit?

Austrian fashion blog in love crisis?
Oh no. Don't be worried. I'm still in love with my "sergeant sunshine" even after 12 years. And in general I'm quite romantic, like to get some presents and I especially love delicious food and good wine. Actually perfect conditions for Valentine's Day. But this commercialized "lovers day" doesn't mean a lot to me. It's not my idea of natural and true love to buy on a predetermined day flowers or presents and to go for a dinner especially deeply looking in each other's eyes. Instead of hearts and many lovely items in pink and red (please check out some other blogs to see cute Valentine stuff) I prefer to show you the third and last look of my this week's "blue collection". - What's your opinion of today's Valentine's Day? Ist "collected by Katja" ein typischer Modeblog aus Österreich?
Diese Frage wird mir immer wieder gestellt. Zusammen mit der Frage, was denn ein Modeblog überhaupt ist. Meine Antwort darauf besteht immer aus Gegenfragen: Was ist denn ein typischer Modeblog? Was ein typisch österreichischer? Und was unterscheidet ihn von Blogs aus Deutschland und dem Rest der Welt? Ich sehe das so: Modeblogs müssen zuerst einmal differenziert werden, da es verschiedene Kategorien gibt. Vom 1. Streetstyle Blog, der Looks von der Straße zeigt (zB The Sartorialist, Facehunter oder StyleClicker), über 2. Personal style Blogs, die die Looks der Bloggerin zeigen (zB Atlantic Pacific, Fashion Hippie Loves oder meiner), 3. Monothematische Modeblogs, die sich einem speziellen Modethema oder Altersklasse widmen (zB Lady of Style - A fashion blog for mature woman) bis zu 4. "MBL-Blogs" (Mode, Beauty & Lifestyle) bzw. Magazin-Blogs, die eine Mischform sind und von How-to's, über Reviews, OOTD's, Rezepte, Travel tips usw. alles (ein bisschen) machen (zB LesMads, Bekleidet, Iloveponys, ). Sowohl in Österreich als auch dem Rest der Welt gibt es hunderte bzw. tausende Blogs aller Kategorien. Insofern gibt es keinen Unterschied zwischen Österreich und anderen Ländern. Sehr wohl aber beim Thema Beständigkeit/Lebensdauer, Qualität, Vielfalt und Bedeutung bzw. Einfluss. In Österreich gibt es relativ wenige Blogs, die schon einige Jahre erfolgreich online sind: Zum Beispiel h.anna, Daria Daria, Bikinis & Passports, Mangoblüte oder Stylekingdom - allesamt aus der Kategorie MBL-/Magazin-Blog. (Ich hoffe, dass Euch diese Kategorisierung recht ist :-) ...) Reine Personal Style Blogs aus Österreich gibt's kaum. Insofern bin ich eher eine Ausnahme und keine typisch österreichische Modebloggerin. Obwohl sich meine "collections" auch für jeweils passende Berichte über Beauty, Lifestyle, Design usw. anbieten, habe ich mich für diese Fashion-Nische entschieden. Aber wer weiß, ob ich mit Mitte 30 nicht doch noch typisch österreichisch werde. Stellt mir die Eingangsfragen in ein paar Monaten nochmals :-) ... Und jetzt interessiert mich natürlich brennend Eure ehrliche Meinung zu diesem Thema - sowohl die Meinung meiner Blogger-Kolleginnen als auch die meiner Leserinnen! Was macht Blogs für Euch lesenswert und was nicht? Welche Kategorie lest ihr am liebsten?

PS.: Da ich ein klassischer personal style blog bin, habe ich natürlich auch heute einen neuen Look für Euch, mit dem ich meine "spring coat collection" diese Woche eröffne :-) ...


Is "collected by Katja" a typical Austrian fashion blog?
This question is always put to me. And also the question: "What is a fashion blog?" My answer to that are always some counter questions: What are the characteristics of a "typical fashion blog"? And what's a "typically Austrian" fashion blog? What distinguishes him from German or other international blogs? In my opinion first of all we need to differentiate fashion blogs, cause there are different categories. From 1. street style blogs, showing inspiring street style looks (e.g. The Sartorialist, Facehunter oder StyleClicker), to 2. personal style blogs, showing bloggers's own looks (e. g. Atlantic Pacific, Fashion Hippie Loves or mine), 3. monothematical fashion blogs, dedicated to specific fashion topic or target/age group (e. g. Lady of Style - A fashion blog for mature woman) up to 4. "FBL blogs (fashion, beauty & lifestyle) and magazine blogs, a mixed form presenting a little bit from everything similar to print magazines - from how to's, reviews, outfits, recipes or travel tips. Not just in Austria but also in the rest of the world there are hundreds and thousands of blogs of each category. Insofar there's not a different between Austria and other countries. But however as far as durability/service life, quality, diversity, importance and influence are concerned. In Austria there are relatively few blogs successfully online for several years: For example h.anna, Daria Daria, Bikinis & Passports, Mangoblüte or Stylekingdom - they're all FBL/magazine blogs. (I hope that this classification is fine for you, ladies :-) ..) But there are indeed hardly any pure personal style blogs from Austria. Seen in this way I'm an exception and not a typical Austrian fashion blogger. Even though my "collections" would be predestined to respective articles about beauty, lifestyle or design, I've decided to this fashion blog niche. But who knows whether I will become typically Austrian in my mid-thirties. Just ask the two introductory questions again in a few months  :-) … And now I'm incredibly interested in your opinion on this subject - both of my blogger colleagues and my readers! Which kind of blogs are worth reading for you - and which not? Do you have a preferred blog category?

Gestatten - Katja, die Kupplerin.
Da ist er wieder. Mein geliebter rosa Mantel. Und dank der "winterlichen" Temperaturen um die 13 Grad konnte ich ihn letzten Samstag ohne zu frieren zu meinem geliebten Nachmittagskaffee ausführen. Nachdem ich ihn schon mit exotischen Prints, Punkten oder der Farbe grau bekannt gemacht habe, habe ich erstmals ein Date mit Denim oganisiert. Ich habe meinen Mantel allerdings nicht behutsam und stückchenweise an seinen neuen Partner herangeführt, sondern ihm gleich die volle Dröhnung gegeben. Mit Boyfriend Jeans und Bluse. Zugegebenermaßen nicht die vorsichtigste und subtilste Art der Verkupplung, aber eine effiziente und nach meiner Meinung gut geglückte. Denn ich finde, dass sportlicher Denim perfekt zu diesem klassischen Mantel passt. - Oder wie seht ihr das? Gelungener 2. Look meiner "spring coat collection" oder missglückter Kuppel-Versuch?

There it is again. My beloved pink coat. And thanks's to "winter" temperatures of 13 degrees I could taken him out to my usual afternoon coffee without freezing last Saturday.
